On December 21, in the framework of the Unified System of Aviation Security and Civil Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the first two helicopters of the Airbus H-225 Super Puma arrived in Ukraine. The certificate for one of them today was solemnly handed over to the rescuers by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The Head of State noted that this is a vivid testimony to the strengthening of the material base of rescuers and units of the National Guard.

On November 7, 2018 on the basis of the Lviv State University of Life Safety started the International Conference FESE 2018 (Fire and Environmental Safety Engineering 2018). Co-organizers of the conference are the Lviv State University of Life Safety and the Main School of Fire Service of the Republic of Poland. The conference is attended by more than 80 scientists and representatives of companies involved in the production of equipment for rescuers.
